About this place
From antipasti to pasta and meat, a meal at SPIRITO LIBERO is shaped by the pleasure of trying a range of flavours in smaller portions. One diner who ordered the lunch antipasto platter described a colourful selection of around 15 items, mostly vegetables, each with its own character. The menu also features a platter for two and a speciality that brings together seasonal vegetables prepared in various ways. Sharing antipasti is a good way to begin and see what catches your eye.
The pasta combinations are just as appealing, from octopus with new-season onions to peperoncino with premium Yamari whitebait and wild mountain vegetables. One lunch-goer said the pasta with mountain vegetables and whitebait suited their taste; another meal included the octopus pasta. For a main course, diners can choose from Iwate-branded meats. One guest enjoyed the lean Tankaku beef, grilled over straw and served with wholegrain mustard.
The lunch course is presented as a progression of antipasti, pasta, a choice of Iwate-branded meat and a small dessert. A full course can also include the chef's choice of fish, making it an option for a leisurely meal. Several wines are available by the glass, so diners can change their choice to suit each dish or ask for help finding a wine to their taste. Tiramisu, Gorgonzola cheesecake and espresso are among the options after the meal. Reservations are recommended for both lunch and dinner.
